Milos Stedron is one of the most sought-after Czech composers of contemporary music and musicologists. A native of Brno town in Moravia, he has written a number of orchestral, chamber and vocal compositions as well as music for theatre and movies. Compositions of Milos Stedron draw inspiration above all from folk music. His main interest in musicology is Czech composer Leos Janacek and further also music of Renaissance and Mannerism. He is a professor in the Institute of Musicology of the Arts Faculty of the Masaryk University in Brno  and recently he has been awarded by the Czech Ministry of Culture with the Award for Achievement in the Field of Music.

Artistic collaboration of Sofia Mavrogenidou and Milos Stedron dates back to 2000 when Sofia started to interpret within her concerts the compositions of Milos Stedron, including pieces written specifically for Sofia. Sharing a great chemistry, same roots in Moravia lands, passion for music and mutual admiration for each other's work, their collaboration matured also into a number of recordings, including two CD's "Composizioni per Sophia" (2009) and "Una Folia per Lagadia" (2010).
